The moon lights the night for some mysterious purpose and the sun gives us all the energy we need to survive. The stars give us hope of something more and the tides pull us closer to what is on the shore. The wind steads our feet as we move in the right direction while the clouds float above us giving us the motivation. We carry on ahead, into the world that is so uncertain in search for the future we have dreamed of. But now, on my own without you, the nights are dark, and the sun is tired. The stars are gone, and the tides pull me into the sea. The wind holds me back as the clouds are nowhere in sight. Our fingers are tied by imaginary strings to keep us attached, especially when your arms are not linked with mine. When my grasp is left empty, the world is a place with no dreams. When the heat your body gives away isn’t being taken by mine, my heart grows cold. My feet go numb. My brain grows tired. When I am without you, I sleepwalk through the day trying to make sense of the surroundings. So, I hope this reaches you. I hope the moon light guides you to me and the sun shines right on top of me. I hope the stars give you hope that I am still out there, longing for you too. I hope the tides attract you to me, even from the depths of the sea. I hope the wind pushes you onto your feet while the clouds guide your path. I hope the world brings you to me.
